What’s New with Coach
- 🔗 Learners can now share links in conversation: Coach can read URLs that learners share in chat, including job postings, program descriptions, and PDFs, so it can give more relevant responses without the learner needing to copy and paste content.
- 🧰 Expanded tool coverage: Coach now has basic coverage across all career development topics, thanks to 12 new tool configurations. New areas include job opportunities for underrepresented populations, government workforce services, company culture research, job training programs, and college and major exploration.
- 💼 LinkedIn profiles can now be attached to learner records: Admins and advisors can attach LinkedIn profile URLs to learner records, making it easier to track learner outcomes over time. This was a direct request from research partners.
- 📡 More seamless experience for learners engaging through text: When a learner reaches Coach through SMS or WhatsApp, proactive outreach messages now appear inline within that conversation rather than arriving as disconnected nudges.
On the Horizon
Below are features we’re exciting to bring our partners in the coming months!
- 🎯 Smarter widget personalization: Work is underway on dynamic context injection, which will allow the Coach widget to pick up relevant page context with each message for a more personalized experience (available initially for widgets not behind a login wall).
- 🔮 Coach Follow-Ups The team is working toward a general availability launch of Coach Follow-ups (currently only available to Independent Learners), with upcoming work on personalization and expanded support for partner and cohort learners in the coming months.
- 📲 SMS access before account creation: Soon users will be able to start chatting with Coach via SMS before creating an account, then claim their conversation history once they sign up.
- 🌐 AI Resilience (AIR) Report updates: CareerVillage's AIR site, which tracks how AI is reshaping the labor market, recently relaunched its research pipeline using Claude Opus for better, more current sources. Coming soon: personalization by metro area and experience level plus integration into Coach.
