As we kick off the new year, we’re excited to share product updates that help learners build momentum from day one. This release introduces gamification (streaks and badges), Proactive Coach outreach through email and SMS, and goal setting with personalized recommendations, all designed to keep learners engaged and moving forward.
Coach Updates
We’ve been busy making Coach even more supportive, motivating, and personalized for you. Here’s a look at what’s new and what’s rolling out soon!
🔥 Streaks & Badges: Consistency is Key
- Streaks: Learners build and maintain streaks by working on goals with Coach. Streaks are earned by engaging in a chat with Coach with built-in flexibility with options to skip.
- Badges: After hitting certain streak milestones, learners will earn badges that recognize their consistency and effort — little celebrations of their work!
🎯 Deeper Personalization: Goals & Smarter Recommendations
We’re also improving how Coach helps you choose your next step. Learners can now set career goals inside Coach. Coach will recommend activities based on the goals shared in onboarding and what learners share in other chats.
💌 Proactive Coach: Personalized & Timely Follow-Ups by Email or SMS
After conversations with Coach, it can follow up with learners with:
- a relevant resource (e.g., “Here’s the link to apply to that job you mentioned.”)
- gentle reminders or motivational messages
…and can reach out via email or SMS, depending on preferences.
This update will go live to all users on March 1, when learners will automatically be enrolled in Proactive Coach. To receive messages via SMS (or opt out), head to account settings in the app.

We’re excited to share that Coach is featured as one of the five case studies in Bellwether’s newly released Built for Learning report, where they synthesize varying approaches and lessons learned.
